Thunder Lake is a deep, clear lake with lots of structure. Unusual for its location, most naturalists say it is 150 miles too far south for its makeup. That makes it special with its sand, gravel, and boulder sub-structure. It supports good populations of walleye, perch, crappie, both largemouth and smallmouth bass and some monster northern pike. Thunder Lake is stocked with walleye fingerlings during odd years. The stocking data for Thunder Lake can be found on the Minnesota DNR website.
Our MN Resort, Thunder Lake Lodge, is centrally located near Remer, Longville, Outing, Walker and Grand Rapids Minnesota. All are within an easy 35 minute or less drive. Convenient for shopping, activities and more!
