Thunder Lake Lodge Fishing Report (7-9-12)

Fishing in general has slowed in recent weeks as a result of the heavy rains, rising water levels and hot temps.  With water surface temps reaching 80 last week, walleye fishing has slowed to a crawl here on Thunder Lake.  Panfish are still being caught, but crappies have been tougher than normal lately for this time of year.  Both largemouth and smallmouth bass continue to be the most consistent bite on live bait rigs and soft plastics.

Most of these photos are from the mid to late June bite before all the rain and rising water.  The fishing action was hot as always in June.

We will keep you posted!
