Staying Busy at the Lodge

Anyone wondering what we’re doing now in the long offseason(besides moving snow around)?  People ask us all the time what we do in the winter on the resort and believe it or not, we stay pretty busy with everything.  We’ve been purchasing some new things and working on some remodeling projects for the cottages.  Here’s a brief summary of what we’re currently doing:

  • Purchased 6 new chaise lounges for down at the beach.  These will match the existing lounges we already have with the green slings.
  • Adding new fish finders to both pontoons and 3 fishing boats.  The units are the Lowrance X-4 Pro.
  • Both pontoons will also be getting new, heavy duty swivel seats.
  • Cottage #10 is getting new carpet in the living room and hallway and a new wood kitchen floor.
  • Cottage #11 is getting new carpet in the living room and a new wood kitchen floor.
  • Cottage #12 is getting new carpet in the living room and a new wood kitchen floor.
  • Cottage Deluxe will be getting a new bathroom floor and shower and tub in the back bathroom.
  • The community fire pit will be getting new home made wooden benches to replace the old, ugly red cylinders (Thanks, Bob!)

So far, we have ripped out the old flooring in Cottage 10 and 11.  Cottage 12 and Cottage Deluxe will get ripped out next.  The carpet and wood flooring will be installed in late April and early May.  Those of you staying in these cottages will appreciate the finished result when you arrive for the sunny weather and great fishing this year!
